When you have memorized the code for typing the letter é so you can type "Alizée" and not the pathetic, newbish, inaccurate, "Alizee".

(The code is: ALT+0233)

Thank me later, newbs.

OR . . . when you have installed the international keyboard, so all you have to do is type an apostrophe followed by the letter e.

OR . . . When you use a keyboard enhancer program, so all you have to do is hold the Windows key and press 2.

LOL well, I'm learning French, so I type more of those little doo-dads above the letters than just é. There's also è, ô, à, and lots more.

The French do all kinds of silly things with their alphabet, and you just have to adapt. Almost as silly as the fact that "la barbe" (beard) is a feminine noun.

That (le vs la) was one of two reasons I gave up French in high school and switched to spanish (the other being too many silent lettters).

I had to take Spanish starting in 5th grade, I think. There was no choice of languages. So when I got to highschool I continued with Spanish. I didn't even learn very much in however many years. (That goes for all my classes, not just Spanish. )

I'm trying to learn le Français now. Literally just started using a program yesterday. Before that I was just passively picking up words from French songs.
