Ooh, have you played that Alien game where you're the space marines and you have to go in and shoot the Xenomorphs? You have to. It's so much fun.

The only riffle or shotgun of full caliber I've ever shot and would want to shoot one handed would have to be the AK-74. Other wise yes plant that stock into your shoulder.

I'm sure I've played it before. I've wielded many a brightly colored gun in my days.

I think my two favorite shooting games of all time are *insert name of game* (I can't remember what it's called, but it's an arcade game of a screen and a plastic sniper rifle, and you could look through the scope into a little screen of it magnified... it's not Silent Scope... but the levels were of you on a rooftop taking people out, taking out people on an airplane, taking out some guy and his teddy bear in a helicopter, etc... It was at Nickel Nickel) and *insert name of other game* (actually, it's many games. Basically all those "shooting range/police training/etc" games with many little mini games like "shoot the blue plates" or "shoot the leaf as it falls with one bullet")

A close runner up would be the Star Wars arcade game (the joystick and big orange chair). Not a pure shooter per se, but my favorite arcade game where you don't hold a gun

The star wars game was also amazing. I remember the first one vaguely but I don't remember the name.

That reminds me of this.. I think it was either Nintendo 64 or PS1 game me and my Star Wars obsessed cousins used to lose sleep over. It was basically a bunch of race courses in the Star Wars universe where you chose the player/racer model, environment, etc. It was like crack.

You know what? I should hire someone to make an arcade shooting game where you go on a murderous rampage through teenage hollywood - targets include Justin Bieber, each Jonas Brother, Miley, Demi Lovato.. Selena's not very annoying so she'd be spared.

YETH

I know the Star Wars game is called "Star Wars Trilogy", and it's fuggin' awesome.

I've played it so many times that I've memorized the pattern of Vader's lightsaber strikes, in addition to being able to play the entire game without dying.

I remember seeing one for sale once (the cockpit kind i.e. the good one), but it was like $1,500... several years ago.

OHBTW players of the game, don't play the one in the Starcade at Disneyland (CA), they rigged the joystick so no matter how hard to pull the joystick, the crosshair will never reach the edge of the screen, which you NEED in Battle over Endor with those motherfugging TIE interceptors that are three times as aggressive and accurate as normal TIEs

Those Dithneyland fuckers, rigging everything. Gosh.

and I seriously would have bought it... can you imagine having an actual arcade game in the corner of your room?

"so yeah this is my room.. it's kinda messy but --"

"DUDE what's that in the corner omg"

"oh that's just my $1500 authentic Star Wars arcade game, what of it?"

nothing thpecial, I just uthe it ath a nightlight

I really, really, really almost bought a Simpsons arcade cabinet game. One of the Nickel Nickels was selling a few of their cabinets (I think the Thimpthonth one had the wood cracked on one side or something). It was only $400 or something awesomely awesome (as I thought at the time)... but I ended up blowing it on a bunch of crap at Toys R Us (I walked to the lego section, stuck my arm out, and just walked slowly as the cart filled up with each step)

In response to my earlier statement of my constant romanticism, I hope that one day when I build my awesome Neverland-esque mansion, I'll have a Neverland-esque arcade*. It'll be right next to the Warrior room**

*The star attraction of the room will be 4 smaller rooms (complete with thuped-up gaming chair, every console possible... hard to explain, but instead of playing 4way split screen, each player has his own Game Pod (as I'll call it) and outside the pods there's one tv with the split screens so spectators can watch the entire game.

**Kind of awesome, yet reveals a bit of my freakiness. The entire room will be filled with posable (blank white) mannequins up on small pedestals (with the possibilities of a few dioramas, haven't decided yet) with each mannequin donning the weapons*** and armor*** of many warriors throughout history.

***I'm not into that stupid flea market stainless steel $20 sword bullshit. I'm into not necessarily the authentic, as much as I am into the accurate. If you own a sword made of stainless steel, please for the love of god and safety don't ever swing it, ever.

Real swords are made from carbon steel. They flex properly, they're built properly, they handle properly, and most importantly they cut properly.
For my general sanity could y'all read this if you're even remotely interested in arms and armor?
http://www.sword-buyers-guide.com/bu...ds-online.html

Thus, when I say I hope to purchase sets of "proper" weapons and "proper" armor, I mean proper swords of carbon steel, axes of proper thickness, armor of proper carbon steel, etc.

EX:
The Romans: plain white mannequins wearing (oh btw before I go further, I still have to research this shit properly to see what was used by with class of soldier, when, etc, just giving y'all an idea of my insanity):
- http://tinyurl.com/2e9ndk8 AND/OR http://tinyurl.com/278ggau AND/OR http://tinyurl.com/2elovsy
- http://tinyurl.com/24l7qch http://tinyurl.com/26wr62e
(keep in mind all this shit has to be strong and properly made, because I will try on EVERYTHING and run around my backyard and fuck up pool noodles and waterbottles and shit)
- red tunic and scarf, sandals, shoulder strap, shield, I hope you get the picture

The Knights: (English, German, French, and Italian knights will all be features, I'm posting the stuff for the German one)
- http://tinyurl.com/2frj29f AND http://tinyurl.com/236mzgm (continue with chainmaille (which I might even make myself, I know how and have done) pauldrons, greaves, gauntlets, etc)
- http://tinyurl.com/394h32j OR http://tinyurl.com/34bs8jg
- I know how to make my own proper wooden, curved, shields with trim and everything, so I'll be making my own shields for everything

You can extrapolate this pattern to Pirates, Renaissance men with rapiers, Revolutionary War soldiers (American, English, and French), Civil war soldiers (both sides), world war one (a soldier of all sides), wwii (same), today's soldier, storm troopers and clone troopers, USMC Spartans, etc.

You were right, that wath very epic and long. it wath epic-long.

When you build that mansion, build a solid gold panic room and a waffle room. I will visit regularly to eat waffles in the panic room.

however, please don't get mannequins with scary blank expressions. those are terrifying. mostly because one time I bumped into a mannequin at Old Navy and said "sorry".
