Is it just me or does anyone else fail to understand what possible connection there is between your sexual preference and in what sort of music you listen to?

I think its more of(when one is gay) that guys listen to guys more and girls listen to girls more. But what I can see is that both guys and girls listen to Mylene Farmer and Alizee

Anyway i'm going to back out of this discussion since homosexuality discussions tend to offend some people and I don't need any more trouble hehehe.

Yeah, I'm gonna have to go with Junkmale on this one. It shouldn't really matter or make a difference. I'm not gay and I listen to plenty of males and females. If anything, I've listened to more male singers/artists than women. So, if the case is that the guys listen to more male artists, then I should be quite the valued fan too, regardless of sexual orientation.

It would appear that the gay community, male or female regardless, seem to lean toward music that empowers women, or artists that have expressed their supprt for the gay community. Women like Cher and Tina Turner sing empowering songs, and in turn they both have a strong gay following.

That's just what I've noticed, at least.
