I suppose the new single should start off "It's Alizée bitch" followed by some T&A a step further than what she showed before. It's what the people want.....right?
Personally, what I want is something more exciting. UEDS had good music and was a great album, but I think most of us can agree that it was rather lackluster. It had maybe 2 single worthy songs. It was electro, but still kind of relaxing and laid back. It's not that Alizee has to start stripping or acting like a whore, I think everyone just wants to see that passion, that appetite for life that seems to have fizzled out a long time ago.

I don't think there is anything wrong with being a little provocative, you can still be sexy in a classy way. For Psychedelices, she had some nice outfits but they were basically tit curtains that made her look pregnant. Same for UEDS, the dress with the hat was nice, but at least take off the fucking shrug jacket thing, ITS JUST YOUR SHOULDERS.

Let's hope her next album (if there is one) will be a bit more exciting. Better outfits, more promotion, videos, performances, singles. I really want to see her succeed. And trust me, no matter what they say, EVERY artist wants to be commercially successful.

I sometimes had the impression during the Psych period that she was trying very hard NOT to be sexy, which is rather like the sun trying not to shine. Or, perhaps a better comparison would be a very tall person trying to be short. The result seems only awkward. To a large extent that was corrected for UEDS, though, so it probably won't be a problem in the future.

I agree that the music to that album wasn't very danceable and it was too cerebral to appeal to popular tastes much. It's a hard balance to achieve. I think that her next effort will be more rock-ish.

Tit curtains. Lol. Yeah, those sucked.
And I'm sorry, but the overdone makeup, super bangs and bedazzled clothes from the UEDS era ain't that great either.
The interview where her bangs are swept back with the wind, she is wearing natural makeup and a simple dress... Stunning!

I can see what your saying but I have a different spin on it. I dont think Alizee was trying not to be sexy, but to be as sexy as possible while keeping it conservative/professional at the same time!

I wouldn't say conservative as much as I would say mature

Actually, I think Deep nailed it. She was trying so hard to say "not Mylene" that she was not saying "Alizée" clearly.

One video and one short performance related to Ueds and the fact that she was trying to remain in character makes it hard to give a fair critique. With that said her wardrobe was boring and a little weird. With that said I liked some of her wardrobe in interviews and especially the dress in the wind at Monaco. She was exquisite on all counts in that interview. The tit tents during psyche and the one blue and white checkered one in Enconcert also sucked. Hillarious and accurate descriptions by the way Euphoria.

Aww, I really liked all her outfits in Psyche. I thought they were adorable, so many bright colors and designs. That's where I got my dress-and-leggings penchant, from Alizee's Psyche wardrobe.
