![]() Here's a free mp3, Ксения Ларина - Дотронься(Dotronsya), I assume it's free because it's free to download from here http://www.zaycev.net/. (Click on Ксения Ларина - Дотронься to download, my direct link wouldn't work.)
And for those who don't trust my knowledge of the Russian alphabet (don't blame you) here a site that confirms that Kseniya Larina is Ксения Ларина in the Russian alphabet. http://www.peoples.ru/art/music/pop/larina/ But there are other songs and interviews and pictures all on her site, which I already linked. ![]() Being able to switch between the Russian Cyrillic letters and their Roman letter equivalents is about all I can do (only really useful if you are looking for something you know the name of on a Russian site, like music by a certain singer
![]() This is an important one to know: Вы говорите по-английски? Pronounced, bold syllables stressed: Vi gavareetye pa angleeskee? Means: Do you speak English? So I've been told, but don't hold me to it. ![]() Last edited by Twitch; 12-10-2006 at 09:15 PM.. |

![]() For some reason, my comp cannot read the Cyrillic letters on her site, but they show up fine on other Russian sites that I have visited.
![]() And congrats, Rwd, you were the first to correctly identify AA-1(Kseniya) in the picture! You win a cookie. ![]() |

![]() It's all Greek to me, the irony of that phrase in this context. The Cyrillic alphabet is named after St Cyril, a Greek monk, and the Russian alphabet is based on the Greek alphabet with new letters added to cover the Slavic sounds that do not exist in Greek.
For Блестящие I would've put this Blestyashchie but я can be ya or ia and ш is sh but is easily confused with щ is shch. But I am only guessing and there are different systems of transliteration, only someone fluent in Russian could tell you. EDIT: Have you tried going to character encoding (under the View menu in Firefox) and switching it to Cyrillic character encoding, it's what I had to do before they would render right, even though on other sites they have rendered correctly. Anywho, that's a great song if it really is AA-1. I'll just trust that it is and say WOW! ![]()

![]() I found a place where you can hear Kseniya's song that is on the cd I bought. It's here:
http://www.russiandvd.com/store/prod...35067&genreid= Her song is track 6 (К. Ларина “Пузырьки лимонада”). This is apparently another version of the cd that I got. The cover is different and the order of the songs is different, but the title is the same. I don't have my cd handy at the moment, and I can't remember if mine has quite as many tracks as this one. Anyway, Kseniya's song is the same. |
