I bought a recurve bow today. Why? Cause. That's why.

Reality: I don't always hit a pumpkin from 10 yards away, but when I do, the arrow bounces off it.

Nice. I have a buddy that actually built his own recurve and longbow. It turns out his neighbor was a big bow builder and he helped him make it. The draw on those were in the ballpark of 70 lbs, so they were pretty beastly. What kind did you get, because I'm also looking into recurves.

Some thing aluminum riser, laminate limbs, that whole deal. The guy tried to sell me a compound with all kinds of shit already on it but I think the whole compound deal is cheating.
