Default A troll putting others on ignore?

In another forum I just witnessed a super hardcore hating troll get fed up and actually put two people on ignore. Doesn't that break some sort of troll commandment or something?

I don't recall ever seeing that happen in all my years on message boards. Has anybody here? Oh and this guy was like a level 8 troll on a board with no mod's so I think that says something. Nothing compared to what we've ever seen here which at the worst was like a 2 or 3, at least on my scale.

Wouldn't putting a troll on ignore be a good thing? That way they can just ignore the trolling and enjoy the forum. Unless I'm misunderstanding you and it's the troll that put 2 non-trollers on ignore?

Yeah the troll put non-trollers on ignore. He was proud of being one then got outsmarted but isn't that against one of the principles they live by? People are supposed to get so angry they put them on ignore instead of the other way around.

The members here have years of online experience combined so I was curious if others had seen this happen before.

Poor troll attempt was poor. That's a mega fail on his part.

Huh.. that doesn't make sense..

My guess is that the troll wasn't aware that they were a troll or just doesn't want to admit it? As Azhiri said, mega fail.

How is this confusing? This guy stated he was a troll and expressed his joy of disrupting threads. He was proud of ruining the message board and making others angry which he did successfully for a long time. How can I make this any clearer? If you asked him "are you a troll?" he would say "YES!" and then an obscenity.

The extreme irony is that he got overwhelmed with anger and ended up putting others on ignore. Trolls are the ones who get ignored, not the other way around.

I almost feel as though I'm being trolled by you guys. You probably understand but think it's fun having me explain the equivalent of 2+2=4 in internet grief tactics over and over.
Hahaa, I'm not confused over what you're saying, but over what the guy's thinking and why he's doing it.

I think that a true troll, one of a level as high as you describe, must be committed to such a art that they wouldn't care at all about the forum of their choosing... so he is not a true troll. He is a newfag.
