![]() As much as I loved the music of LB and the songs of MF, I think the biggest thing she lost in the break up was the management. The talent and the beauty was still there. She just couldn't put it all together in a form that was appealing to the public.

![]() Here was another video I stumbled upon in my archives. Unfortunately it consists of stills, not video, and audio. It's from her performance at Studio 22 (RTL) on September, 2000. I believe someone from this forum put this together. I looked for it on Youtube, but couldn't find it, so I reposted it. It would've been nice to have seen video.

![]() I didn't quite know where to put this, so I'll put it here. It concerns Tinkerbell which is a big factor in her life so it's somewhat related.
I was watching some Youtube videos the other day and I saw this one and when it first started I thought "Tinkerbell!" (I think it's Tinkerbell). What a great gift this would make for Alizée! Then as the video went along it became Nooooooooooo! Last edited by Scruffydog777; 11-21-2016 at 10:35 PM.. |

![]() Here's a video I saw on Youtube of a young Japanese fan singing "I'm fed up". The date on the video said 2011, but I'm not sure if that's when it happened.

![]() Yes I have to believe that no one could have the same charm, the same beauty of dance, of person, that je ne sais quoi that Alizée brought to that role. Many will try in the future, but I'm sure that 100 years from now when people hear the word "Lolita" the picture that comes into their minds will that of Alizée.

![]() That je-ne-sais-quoi as you said it so well, resulted I believe from an extraordinary chain of events that culminated when coincidences created a nexus of perfection at the meeting point of Mylène Farmer's genius , Alizée Jacotey's talent and Laurent Boutonnat's music |

Now that hasn't always worked out, sometimes because of egos, personality conflicts or just the fact they're not used to playing with one another. But with the three of them, it was a perfect fit. The great music of Boutonnant, the lyrics of Farmer and beautiful voice of Alizée and her incredible charm and dancing and it was also the great managing/directing skills of I have to feel it was both MF and LB to put this all together in a manner we'll never forget. |

![]() Right on, this was the Triad of perfection. Even looking back at France Gall and Gainsbourg's relationship , which to me is the next best thing , I don't find the same alchemy .
Whenever the nostalgia flows through me again I find myself making mashups of the golden years and I'm always struck by how catchy the songs are , even after having listened to them thousands of times ... What always saddens me when I see those cheering crowds is how fast they turned their backs on her .... she was an instant hit, she rose to international fame within months... this is still a mystery to me.
