There are advances seemingly in everything ? !
There are advances seemingly in everything.
Long lasting Batteries. Fast recharging systems. revamped gasoline engines which are non-polluting. Hydrogen car engines. Hydrogen recharging modules. Cancer Cures. local Nuclear engines and systems. etc. so that one hardly knows where to invest ? You might end up with your house running on a mini-nuclear engine and you can kiss the electric company goodbye ! Ha ! So if they come up with long-lasting batteries or fast re-chargers then electric vehicles might make a come-back ? There is always a big splurg about these advances, but then they seem to Disappear ? |

Nuclear small-scale is going to be a game changer for datacenters and the like. I don't see it taking off for homes, perhaps excepting the well-and-truly remote, like Alaska.
The big thing in electric cars, I think, is swappable batteries. Fast charging is hard on the batteries, but if you can swap fast, you can then charge slow. China does this with their taxis. I hope for a cure for cancer (having experienced it myself), but I feel like we've been "10 years away" for 30 years now. I am concerned at how bad the market's going to get tomorrow - regardless of who wins, I suspect it'll be rough sailing for a few days. I try to avoid bringing politics into this place (lord knows, I need somewhere that I can go to get away from it!).
