Aw ! I learned that Terri Garr has died !
I kinda loved her , too and would have proposed if I had ever met up with her ! She was in Mel Brooks Movie "Young Frankenstein" as his 'Lab Assistant' Ha ! " Would you like a Roll in the Hay" ? Another Brooks movie was "High Anxiety" with the Institute never curing anybody but just getting money away from them. Brooks as 'Dr. Thorndike' guessed this; so the Institute had their local serial murderer try to kill him ! Also Brooks movie about Star Wars; which was "Spaceballs" On their colossal ship they had the sign 'We Brake for No One' ! Another movie with Terri Garr in it was "Let It Ride" with Richard Dreyfuss as a Racetrack gambler who loses most of his wife's Birthday money. But then gains it back in one day as all of his bets pan out as he lets the total winnings "ride" each time. Finally his friend, who is a Loser, says Don't bet this horse, he looks Sick ! But when "Trotter" looks at the Horse in the Stall, he sees Fire in his Eyes, as the Horse is telling him, I'm going to come in ! So then he bets it all on that horse ! And practically wins the Racetrack ! Ha ! Strangely , my Grandmother was Psychic, and could sometimes tell the horses which were going to come in first at the track, even if she didn't go ! Some Strange movies which are interesting to see.
"Heathers" an original Wynona Rider ! Heather joins the popular girls at high school who exist to punish the other students. Christian Slater is her Boyfriend , but he turns out to be homicidle ! in case I didn't mention it before; Rider's other picture "Girl Interupted" ( 'But I'm not promiscuous ! I'm Not !' ) "Serial Mom". A mom kills people for various sins; such as wearing White after Labor day ? ! Le Chess Movie
You see; I have a kind of connection with ze movie; as at one time I was the Kid !
The Movie "Searching for Bobbie Fischer" ! The reporter asks the Grandmaster of the New York CHess Club; Can I ask you a question ? But the Grandmaster tells him; No I don't know where Bobby Fischer is , and if I did I wouldn't tell You ! Why can't you leave him alone ? Fischer is the Chess Champion of the World and only plays chess ! But at one time there was a travel ban on and Fischer went to an chess tournament in another country in violation of the ban and so he ran afoul of our government who started to treat him bad. I was playing Chess all of the time; and it was very hard ! I got to where I could play without the board; which is using your Brain a lot ! However I could not play 25 to 50 games at the same time as Fischer ! The government finally drove him out of the country and so he lived overseas; finally Iceland offered him a citizenship; so poor Fischer is actually buried in Iceland ! At one time I must've had about 30 books on Chess and studied it all the time ! I taught myself to play in High School; which is late to start, as kids learn chess in elementary school in the big cities ! If ;say, I ever get to be President; I would Pardon Bobby Fischer ! I also read a lot of books and History and at one time I asked a girl out; but she told me no ! You are just like a Teacher ! Ha ! At the time ! I guess you could say I've led an interesting life; having Played Chess, Been a Cowboy on a Ranch, and played Basketball in middle school , and Fenced Epee in High School ! So I am a Strange Bird ! However, for all that I am not a very athletic person; being more sedate and reflective ! So this is why even though I proposed to her once, I would have been a bad match for Alizee; as I could never be a competitive dancer for her like Gregorie; so in the scheme of things it was fate for her to turn me down ! Although I still love her completely ! My father thought I was becoming a Wimp; and so he sent me out to a ranch he owned 50% of; to toughen me up and I would bunk with the cowboys and help them with their duties ! , but I will talk about that under Le Animals and the Horse ! It's great that the election season is just about over and things for me will be getting back to abynormal.
You mentioned Teri Garr. She was one of my favorites. She had a very bubbly personality and reminds me of Penny in the Big Bang Theory. Rear Window was such a classic. I thought a great chess movie or should I say series was Queen's Gambit. Didn't think a show about chess could be that good but I loved it, when she was learning to play in the basement of the orphanage with Mr Shaibal and especially with the state chess tournament, the little looks of frustration, befuddlement on the other players faces as she astounded them with her moves. It was great in the last game of the tournament when she was playing the Kentucky state champion when late in the game, she had such a look of frustration on her face but with a short visit to "powder her nose", she came back with the look of the eye of the tiger and he could see it.

In Case I didn't recommend it before
The Movie "Always" about fire fighting planes. Holly Hunter and John Goodman . It is astounding that the fire hydrants in LA didn't have water in them for some reason so they couldn't put the fires out ! and a police movie "LA Confidential" Some police are good cops and some police are bad cops. "Sahara" with Matthew McConaughy and Penelope Cruz !
A pretty good movie although it kinda failed at the box office. They say a lot of the Confederate Gold is still Missing; which could be anywhere as the Confederates evacuated Richmond, Virginia when Petersburg fell ! If you find gold anywhere, the last people you want to tell is the government, who will confiscate it ! One guy worked on the Stage as an actor; but also worked at the US Mint in San Franciso. So every Friday he would take his acting clothes out in suit cases ! But he was also taking out "Double Eagles" a $10 Gold Coin is an "eagle" and a $20 Gold Coin is as they say a "Double Eagle"; so this guy was stealing gold coins for years ! Some people bought a property in California; and luckily found 3 Big Jars fill of Double eagles on it. The government took it over to check the years on them, because they thought it was the gold coins the actor stole ! Fortunately for the people, they were different years so they got to keep the loot. A Stash of lots of gold was found in Pennsylvania by two guys , but the government got wind of it and they went in with troops and trucks and took it all away ! The two guys got nothing ! The Movie "Raising Arizona" is entertaining. It has an american joke at the end, you may not get. The guy is talking about family sitting around the thanksgiving table with all of the old folks and the kids, and everybody is having a good time. But then the guy says "Maybe it was Utah" This is because Utah has lots of Mormons ( another religion ) and they are big on Family, so he is saying maybe it isn't in Arizona, but Utah ! Ha ! and Another movie, but alas I have forgotten the title. I will have to find it ! Ah ! The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou ( a Strange Movie ! ) Also the movie "No Country For Old Men" If you find a suitcase of lots of money, make sure it doesn't have a direction finder chip in it, or the bad guys will be after you ! One woman in Maryland was cleaning motel rooms as the maid and found a suitcase with $100,000 in it; so she put it in her car, told the motel guy she quit and took off out of town !
