I continue my recovery, although it is slow going. I am back to work, but limited to my desk - no site visits, no lifting, nothing interesting. Plan to rest this weekend. I hadn't been this sick in many years, and I forgot how much it wears you down.

If any of you are the praying sort, I’d appreciate a prayer for my health. I had my prep call today for my 9-month post-surgical scan, and the scans are in two weeks. This determines if the surgery got all the cancer out of my kidneys, and if there is any recurrence or metastasis. I’m feeling optimistic, but still a bit of concern. Busy rest of the year - after the trip to Mayo in two weeks, I set sail in December for Paris, to see Hélène Ségara's "Symphonique" performance, and then to Miami for my work's 10th anniversary celebration.

Completed my tests today (Blood, Chest X-ray, MRI of abdomen). X-ray and blood are clear, MRI is out for radiological analysis. Appointment with urologist in the AM to determine the path forward, before I fly back to Chicago mid-day. For the work thing - 10th anniversary of being an independent shop. 10 years ago next February, my boss and his buddy left their jobs and opened their own shop - three months later, they hired me. So instead of a Christmas party, we're doing a big 10 year celebration down where it's not snowing.

Good news: All scans 100% clear. No tumors, no cysts, nothing of note. Annual monitoring from here on out. Thank you to all who prayed for me, I have no doubt that it had an impact. I am sitting at the RST airport, awaiting my chariot (a sad CR2) back to Chicago.

Arrived back in London today, transiting through on the way to Paris later this week, to see Hélène Ségara's "Symphonique" performance on Saturday evening. I wasn't originally going to go, but I bought the tickets for myself as a sort of a bribe in exchange for going back for my follow up scan last month because I'd really had enough of the sticks and pokes and contrast and all it comes with - and something on the other side made it easier. I am a bit wary - it was only two months ago I was in the next room (quite literally - I was in 805 then, am in 804 now, at the same hotel - the DoubleTree Catherine Grove Greenwich) slowly dying of pneumonia (Slightly overdramatic? Maybe, but I'll never admit it!) - I am hoping this trip goes more smoothly, particularly considering that I fly home the day before Christmas Even and I'm having everyone over to my place on Christmas itself. Thank you Scruffy, Marshal, and all others, for your well wishes!

![]() Unfortunately; My younger sister died !
which I never expected to happen before me; as she always was in pretty good health. I blame the shot they practically made everyone to get. After she got that and a "booster" she had a stroke and her diabetes got worse ! Everything went down hill from there ! She got an infection in her foot and had to have part of it amputated, but it never healed up properly ! So I blame the drug companies since they rushed the shot into production without thoroughly testing it. ! ( although they will claim they saved lives with it ? ) Many young people have checked out suddenly with circulation and clot problems at too young an age ! My father has diabetes as well and has also dealt with mini strokes, so I'm well familiar with how that goes unfortunately. I'm uncertain how I feel about the shot. I got mine initially because it was required for a contract my firm signed. My boss got his as well, and now the two of us often ask each other what we were thinking, letting somebody else manhandle us into making that decision. I know several people who passed before their time after getting it. I won't speculate here, but it does make me wonder.

Those who warned about the dangers of mRNA early on were censored and labeled as disinformation, and those who believed them were shamed as conspiracy theorists. Your story is becoming much too commonplace. For those claiming it saved millions of lives, I dare them to prove it. It can't be measured, and if cannot be measured it cannot be proven scientifically. If I got Covid and took Vitamin C and didn't die, I can claim Vitamin C saved my life. I would be laughed at, but it's pretty much the same saying a shot did. |
