Very Strange Department

This is a new Thread for what I will call the Very Strange Department !

You see this is about re-using Malls as Apartments ! This is a new thing for me as I was raised about going to the Malls for Shopping ! Nobody lived there !
But stores have been closing because On-line shopping is the new thing ! So nobody goes to the Malls anymore; and so I am kind of an Antique myself ? ! The old "Brick" or large Mall stores are closing !
Because of this we have a lot of vacant or soon to be vacant buildings of malls !
But somebody came up with the brilliant idea of converting some of the space to apartments !
And so they might be like the small apartments in Paris; but they are in a Mall in the United States !
And this even engenders a kind of small shoppes on the bottom floor of the malls because they have a built-in clients of the people who live there ! And so I post a link to one story .


Although the Girl said she had a strange encounter as one person was trying to unlock her apartment because they thought it was the airbnb rental apartment ? ! Ha !
And if there is a local Blizzard or rainstorm in the vicinity; she doesn't have to go anywhere as there are local foodshops
on the main floor; so she doesn't really have to go out anywhere and get wet if she doesn't want to. And having been a mall; they would have Plenty of Parking for your cars around !

This actually happened; but I have never solved it !

We were moving furniture around in the house;
so at one point I moved a Tiffany floor lamp into the Dining room which had a big window in it ; just to get it our of the way temporarily !

while I am standing there; something came from the direction of the window and hit one of the brass pulls, which had a ball on it, causing the pull to swing back and forth clattering against the metal of the lamp !

Then , whatever it was, bounced off of the pull and went into a humidifier tank of water we had ( because it was coming on winter and we wanted to have some moisture put out in our heat [ as you can't heat dry air ] ). Then it went through the plastic side of the tank and seemed like a torpedo going through the water ? And then it disappeared !

When I checked there was nothing in the water and the humidifier plastic was not damaged !
Then, when I checked the window; there was no damage to the glass !
So this seems like someone or something had fired a Laser at us, which had gone through the window, bounced off of the metal light pull and then richocheted into the humidifier ; so it left no evidence !
This happened years ago and never happened again ? !
If I had a Laser I would try this shot again to see if I could duplicate it ?
But something was a pretty good shot; because it it had hit a small light pull ball, which was about 1/3rd the size of a marble !

I was a Teller in the Banks; after I left being a Cowboy for my father ! I figure I would be out of the hot Sun and Rain and Snow !
So I was a Teller, Acting Head-Teller, and Head-Teller for various banks !
I have counted loads of Greenbacks or Bills in my time !
at one bank I had 1/2 the combination to the Vault; as I had to get money out sometimes for the other tellers.
So my character flaw; if it is one is that I am completely honest !
At one bank; we cashed a lot of Checks; so on Monday every teller would get $750,000 and we would pay it out over the course of a week !
Note that it is Impossible to double-count that much money received from the Federal reserve in a week in between customers ! We re-counted it as best we could !
Another time I ordered money from the federal reserve for my branch, like $700,000; but forgot to tell book-keeping !
This creates a loan for the bank at the federal Reserve ! So they charged the bank something like $50 for the money until they covered it !
A girl from book-keeping called me and joked where am I going to get the $50 ? Am I going to have to go out on the street and earn it ? ! Ha ! But I told her I made the mistake, just take it out of my pay !
I have lots of funny stories working at the Banks !
In a pack of $500 in old Tens; the Feds once cheated me out of $10 ! There was only $490 in the pack ! So I had to "eat" the $10 as if I had made a Teller mistake and lost $10; so I had to put it through as a "Teller Shortage", which of course the bank doesn't like, as How could you have made a $10 Mistake !
But some years later I was verifying a pack of new $10's from the federal reserve and it came out to $510 in the pack of 10's ! Now I am supposed to turn the $10 back into the fed as a mistake on their part; but remembering how they had cheated me out of $10 years before, I kept the extra $10, so my teller drawer ended up for the day $10 over; so I put it through as a "Teller Overage" as if I had cheated a customer out of $10 and so I got even with the Fed !

Another time on a Friday night , we had wall-to-wall customers and seemed like everybody was cashing checks ! This one guy wanted his balance; so I had to call down to book-keeping for it. So I told the book-keeping girl "This is General Custer and I'd like the Balance on the Indians ! ( meaning Custer's last stand where he was done in by 6,000 Sioux and other Indians at the Little Big Horn River in 1878 ! ) So she joked along with me and said OK General Custer ! What is the Indians Account number ? So I gave it to her and she gave me his balance. She must have thought it was funny; in that I was telling her we were getting over-run at the branch ! Ha !

I am a Genius or at least I think I am ? ! Strangely I always thought everybody else was up to my level and didn't exactly realize they were not till I was older ! I have only met about 3 people in my life I would admit to being smarter than I am; who were programmers and systems analysts in Information technology.
Note: That I exempt my friends at Alizee America; as I have not met them in person and so they are undoubtedly extremely intelligent, because they appreciate Alizee ; And they keep the website functional !
And so; being somewhat older than everybody; for the most part, i endeavor to give you advice.
1. Never let anybody mess with your mind; such as a Cult leader. You need to find things out for yourself and not let anybody tell you what to think ! I appreciated some leaders; but I always made my own decisions about life and did not allow them to change my judgement !
2. Never take Drugs as they can destroy your mind and you will become messed up ! As a Programmer/Systems Analyst the most things I ever took was Caffeine, in Cola or coffee, as you need it to code at your desk and keep your body awake as it were.
3. Religion. You must make your own decisions; as god would not want to be worshiped by robots; that is why he gave you free will ! And then you will discover the truth for yourself ! I find many of the TV evangelists amusing and false ; as they are just after your money and so I do not contribute to them !
But then again; maybe I am just an idiot savant in computers and just have a "programmed" mind ! Ha ! so you never know ?
4. Have as many friends and Acquantances as you can; for they will provide you with much information and amusement ! Think of them as information nodes ! Ha ! It is because of one of them that I stumbled across Alizee and fell in Love with her ! And I would have married Alizee back in the day, If I could have !
5. Always think at least 10 times before you say or do anything; because this is where you will mess up in life with your family, or friends, or in your professional life. It is always generally better to keep your mouth shut and act politely in social or society gatherings !
