Your favorite musician?

I'd say Tool just because I'm 100% biased towards them and think they've made the best music I've ever heard in my life. But since it's "musician" and I probably can't get away with the four become one in the purity of the creation of the music argument I'll have to find another avenue.

Therefore I'd have to say Beethoven, because of just how impressive and moving all his works are. Granted he's not the one executing them, but he did create them which is the most important part in my opinion. I'm sure you expected me to say Maynard or something, but I couldn't place any single element of Tool above Beethoven or even Mozart or Bach for creative musicianship.

That's hard to say. If we're actually talking about a "musician" as opposed to a singer or performer, such as Alizée and Mylène are, I'm not sure. Most of the "play their own instruments" folks I listen to are groups that have a combined sound I like, such as The Killers, or The Beatles. They're followed by soundtracks from musicals, with entire orchestras for accompaniment. Hmmm.

If I had to pull a name out of a hat, I might go with Carlos Santana at the moment, as a guy who plays his own stuff, and sounds great doing it.
