See, if that's where I was at, if there was nothing more about Alizée for me than her music, wonderful though that is -- I wouldn't be here. I'd listen, I'd buy her albums or at least download stuff, and that's it.

I'm just not fan material. There are many many other artists that I have admired and enjoyed over the years and still do. But I have no interest in them as people, I have no desire to meet them or strike up a friendship, and I certainly don't have anything to do with their fan clubs or fan sites, because that's not me.

What draws me to Alizée as I have never been drawn to any other artist is who she is as a person, and the way she touches people with her spirit. The music is great, but that alone is nowhere near enough to account for the effect she's had on me.

Seriously speaking, I was just a fan at first. But now I'm from both worlds.

I'm huge fan of her music and everything she does. I can't resist her voice. And in her concert I will go because I'm fan of her music. I will folow her career because I'm fan of her. She's amazing talent. The best thing in music in the history of music.

But on the other hand... I fell in love with the girl, too. She's just so sweet. Without her, world would be whole different place. She's my passion now. She gives me the will to live on.

Idk if she's given me the will to live on, but my world is definately different because of her, and much better

I feel you on that statement man

True for me as well, but see the other, um, "entity" (trouble wording this because you talked about an individual, and now I need to apply it to a group) that I've felt that way about is Iron Maiden (and a few other rock bands). I don't think I "love" them. I certainly don't "lust" after them! I like them because (1) the music is amazing and (2) they represent a certain attitude, ethic, style, and philosophy that appeals to me. Ditto for Alizée (obviously different attributes with her... two sides to my personality).

I was just thinking. The real reason I'm not all crazy whack in love with Alizee is because she's a girl. Now if she was a he, say his name was Alize', and he still had the same characteristics (talented, handsome, suave and debonaire) as our Lili. Then I would crawl through the snow on my hands and knees just to see a picture of his garbage. LOL

I'm kinda with Deepwaters, if I were just into her music I probably wouldn't be in a place like this. Also, as a musician, it's difficult for me to really classify Alizée as an "artist" when her music (so far) was written by Laurent and her lyrics (so far) by Mylène... to me she is a "performer," and spectacular one at that! (Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to diminish any appraisal of Alizée's talent).

I would classify myself most (of the options given thus far) as a: Lover

I don't think I go so far as to "worship" Alizée but I try to be honest in how special and unique I find her to be. That, and it cannot be denied that she has had a profound effect on me beyond my expectations. To me, Alizée's many facets of talent and beauty form a unique gestalt that I don't try too hard to seperate 'cause I think doing so does more of a disservice to what makes Alizée so special: that all these qualities are found in a single person... that we all know about and can share in discussing.

I also am very greatful for how Alizée has facilitated me being able to meet so many wonderful people, fans and friends of fans, through this website (some of whom are no longer with us). The Alizée community is populated with many wonderful people (whichever catagory you may fit into) and I feel privilegded to have met so many of you in one capacity or another (and even if we don't always get along exactly). Just another reason why I'm am greatful for Alizée.

LOL -- I think that would make you a closet luster, Rocket. You're just too heterosexual to bring it to the surface.
