Alizee's upcoming album
in alizee's upcoming album, i hope she doesn't include her husband in it. to me, what makes alizee's music so special is her voice. if there's anyone else's voice in her music, then i'd definitely be turned off, especially with a guy's voice in french.
so, i would hate to be disappointed if she changes her style. |

This subject has come up before. Jérémy has almost certainly written some of the songs and contributed keyboard and/or guitar tracks. He has almost certainly not written all of them. He released an album of his own last year and there was no J-A duet on it. My own opinion is that a duet on Alizée's album is unlikely in the extreme (although some others disagree), but Jérémy will contribute substantially.
As for a change in her style, that's also a given. From the people contributing, it looks like she's going for a more rock sound. She told some fans in Paris that the new album is varied, with no two songs much alike. I've seen statements that she wants to get away from the Lolita image of the past. Sorry if that disappoints you. I'm looking forward to something different myself.

i'd welcome a change in her style..however, i wouldn't want to see an angry faced alizee screaming unaesthetic words (the part in C'est trop tard where she throws her fist in the air was pushing the limits), like most of the songs you hear on american radio. |

do you know when her album is likely to come out (or when you think it should be out by)?
if her new album is really good, then all this waiting will make it definitely worth it. |

Know? No, I don't know. I can make an educated guess that it will be some time this fall.

Variety within the Pop genre is a key part of what attracts me to Alizée. I love the upbeat songs like JBG...and I love the slow reflective songs like Lui ou Toi. And the inbetween songs like Amélie. The songs cover not only a broad spectrum of beat, but also tone and message. This not only shows Alizée breath of performance, but also opens up here personality in the songs.
What makes Alizée so great is not just singing words, but in the way she puts herself into the part...becomes one with the song....and lives it and enjoys it. So my hope is that she has put herself in these new songs...not just singing words....but to do so with excitement...enjoyment...and true feeling. They say you cannot hear a smile....but you can. When these new songs come out, I better hear the smile and feel the eyes....because you can. You can hear it in the music. |

I really hope there is NO duet. Look what he did to Ma Revolution when he sang with Jenifer.
