I got mine for about 20 Euros shipped from cultureprix (an amazon.fr reseller) (see my post in the relevant thread). It may take about 4 weeks though.

But if you think the Mexican version is better for you then go head and get that. But read the thread about it first. If you can't find it from here (won't try to look it now), then it's at least in news section in AF, on first page. THere's rather in depth analyze of it. (well, I didn't do the final analyze ever... but the case is clear anyways...) Dunno on what page it is (on last couple most likely), but this is the thread I believe: http://www.alizee-forum.com/showthread.php?t=18820 |

Indeed, the so-called "releases" out of Asia are so inferior it isn't even funny. I have one I picked up on the cheap; the menus are lacking, the resolution is very fuzzy, and I'm pretty sure it cuts small sections out of certain inter-song bridges.
I haven't seen the Mexican edition yet, though simply comparing the resolutions and looking at the parts of the picture it cuts out, I don't really have any interest in seeing it (except as a collectible).

It doesn't cut anything out. It's 16:9 widescreen just like the PAL version. It's just that it's almost only half the resolution.
You might be mixing it with those few shots by the Mexican fan, who was playing it in 4:3 TV. He had "zooming" (pan & scan) on his TV, so obviously part of the picture was cut out. It's still there, but it just ain't fitting on the screen. |
