at least in the US, that's how it usually is.

on the high side, i'd say alizee probably gets about a dollar for every album sold, considering the fact that the euro only bought about 70 cents back then.

but this isn't correct, to my knowledge, she has sold about 6 millions records in total, at least 3 years ago after MCE's release. And if you add up the numbers given on that website, nid d'alizée, she doesn't even hit 2 millions ....

Hmm...I remember that conversation like in the summer of '06. I think someone mentioned, her net worth to be $10 million. I am guessing she has $5 million on her and I don't think her husband is a millionaire, but she is certainly a millionaire. How else would she able to live off for 4 and a half years without producing an album, and the album that her husband produced was a flop, go figures. Eventhough she sold over 4-5+ million (or whatever) copies of both her albums, most of the money went to the record label, Mylene and Boutonnat, because they are the writers and the producers. The record label was most likely responsible for promotions for her album and whatnot while Alizee just sings the songs, so her cut in pay was probably significantly less, but certainly in the millions. This doesn't factor in all the money she made touring and doing commercials like the one she did in Japan.
