If it was summer 2009, then it would sorta match the year I'm planning to live in France for the summer. I'm also considering living in Paris for 2009-2010, so concert then would also be convenient.

Basically, if I could be in France at the time, I will be.

I am going for sure, but I have two questions...

1. Is she allowed to sing her old songs still? I know that she got her name back, but does she have the rights to still preform them?

2. Would any of you be upset if she preformed an english version of a song that you were hoping to hear in French?

Don't think anyone really knows the details on how that will work yet, although I could be wrong. It is very likely as others have said, she will still perform a few old songs due to fans will most likely really want it, there will probably just be royalty fees.

Although I prefer most of the songs in French, I'd be sooo happy just to be there, she can sing anyway she wants.

That's something that we worried about before, but we now know that Alizée is still friendly, or at least on good terms, with Mylène Farmer. She bought her name for €1, and that was a problem of trademarks. Songs can be covered, and legal action from 'too many' covers is at the discretion of the owner of the songs, Mylène in this case. So, we have reason to believe that Alizée will be allowed to perform her old songs.

I'm don't exactly remember where, it was some insignificant post, and may not have been on this forum. It was easy to miss, for sure.

I saw where that was the rumor as well. I think I saw Deepwaters post it in the thread about the TV show last Saturday.

But on topic, a concert in the next year would be out of the question for me, most likely. I'd love to travel anyway, but I'll be a poor college student, I currently don't have a job to start saving, and it would just be too hard to make it out. In 2 years or so, I'll have time to save, and will watch for concerts in either summer or winter to make it worth spending a few days in France.
