Thanks for the links Cooney!

I really like it this way but now you've ruined it for me.
You see all the winds blow the evils out of the heart and Alizée is like the wind. It's beautiful!

"All the winds,
Blow the evil out of the heart
Me, I'm like the wind:
The spirit of 1000 kph "

Regarding Abracadabra:

Well, I wouldn't say that, but I do like the song particularly for the kinesthetic quality. That is, it feels nice to sing it. I guess Mon Maquis is that way too, but I can barely sing any of it; so I can't really say.

I think L'Alizé is my all time 3rd favorite after Hey! Amigo! (2nd) and J'en Ai Marre (1st). Sometimes it moves around, but it has stood the test of time so far. I can see how someone could become obsessed with it. A beautiful song, really.

While I like the diversity of subject matter that Alizée has brought with MJ and 50/60, I hope Alizée's new album has some stuff with that quality like L'Alizé that makes us attached to her. Even like I say, I like Hey! Amigo! so there's no argument about that song, but it is not personal and does not have the same quality of directing our attention to Alizée herself. I think that was part of her success in the past, that she had great songs that drew us in toward her. And, whether it actually reflected her real personality or not, I think that was part of the success of her first album (though apparently Moi... Lolita by itself had much to do with that success).

Also, she really made us believe the performance when she did a really good performance. That is, after the performance, you could see, oh yeah, it's just a song, but during the performance, she was that song! That's what distinguishes a really good performer, I think.
