I'm not serving, but I am thinkng about joining the Army or Air Force. I was very close to signing for the Army but backed out to give it more thought. I am also considering the Navy. But when I was joining the Army I was gonna go for Military Police, but I may look at being a Air Policeman or Master at Arms for the Air force or Navy. Dunno so many options in the military to look at, its so hard to choose. I always thought the Coast Guard would be cool but there nearest recruitment office is like a 3-4 hour drive

Just from my experience - Army/Air Force have the best MP's training/jobs. Navy/Marine Corps not so much i don't think.

Coast Guard is good, they do a lot more varied jobs, in a whole BUNCH of different places...

Up to you....

I don't know how the Master-@-Arms program has changed or not in the last few years, but it used to be you had another training (another job) and you were trained after that to be MAA....

Wish you luck in whatever you choose

In the Air Force, we're called Security Forces now or Security Police (SPs) when doing law enforcement (LE). It's what I do now but I'm sick of it. It's the closest thing air force has to an infantry and at the end of the day, you get to sleep in a warm bed "MOST" of the time. I've had my days of sleeping in the dirt or holes in the ground. I liked the ground pounding but I'm since older and it's out of my system. I'm not a big fan of LE and want to cross train out now. Although I've done quite a few unique things in my job. I've been a marine training camp, was on EST (SWAT), to name a few. But most people don't try to excel in this career field. Just be forwarned, the politics in this career field are bad. People get in trouble over petty things all the time.

Okey, you might not say I'm a military I don't but anyway. Sweden got Army, Navy, Airforce and a thing we call "hemvärnet". It is close to the U.S.A.'s "National Guard". Inside "Hemvärnet" there is mostly military whannabes with not much disiplin. but they also has a prodject for sweds in the ages 15-19 wich we get trained in everything except combat training. Since I turned 15 this year I am in the begginer stage, then there is advanced stage and the last two one's is Leadership 1, Leadership 2. To make this even more advanced there is a part called "Försvarsutbildarna" wich trains personal to "Hemvärnet". "Försvarsutbildarna" also runs the youth prodject, it is just that these youths get trained by real army people, not some whannabe. (I call them so :P) So they get more disiplin, they arent just fooling around. So I am in "Försvarsutbildarna ungdom". When I get 19 years old I am going to do the compulsory, seeking for the army as what we call "Jägare" wich basicly is the frontsoldier (Infantry). And then later on I am going to seek for the "Nordic Battle Group"

I am apoligzing for any possbile wrong spelling etc.

For further intressts I refere to this site: http://www.forsvarsutbildarna.se/en/

Your spelling is fine (especially if English is your 2nd language!) I wish you luck, and hope you stay warm this winter ( ) during training! What is the "Nordic Battle Group"? Navy or Army or combined arms?
