This is a good question. I don't think any of us are sure how many American fans Alizée actually has. With good promotion in the USA, it's hard to say how many new fans can be won over.

I hope RCA approaches Brad and makes some kind of proposal, but it is obviously up to Brad to decide whether any proposal is acceptable. There could be a number of issues that would need to be addressed in such an arrangement.

Well, if I'm gonna take this task on in some way, one thing I really want to know is how RCA/Sony BMG has already contacted, or otherwise involved, certain fansites, and which fansites may have already been involved.

Brad, as webmaster/admin here you might need to get on the email with some of the webmasters of fansites that may have already been involved (AF, AFC, nidalizee, mexican sites, etc.) and ask what involvement has entailed so far, if anything at all.

It would make any letter just that much stronger if we could say something to the effect of: "We know that sites A. B, and C have been asked to do X, Y, and Z and we would very much like to help Alizée's cause by providing the same services..." This will also help us be informed about what we may getting into incase there are stipulations we want to avoid. It also shows initiative on our part.

one thing to consider too, is the whole 'legality' of our site here... we may not want to point out all of these videos to some upper level RCA guy, if you get my drift.

Yes, I thought of that. That's why it will help us to talk to some of the webmasters that might possibly be involved in the promotion... ask them what kind of restirctions of that kind RCA is asking of them about site content, what sort of questions RCA is asking... so we have some info to go on. Such webmasters would probably only be willing to talk to the webmaster here (you ). If you're hosting AF too, that might give you a little more "pull" to find out information, at least.

If RCA is interested in promoting Alizée into the rest of the world, they may have already checked this site out.

Edit: I think it's a good idea to check with the other webmasters first, and proceed with caution. If RCA wants to make deal, I'm sure they can make any 'legality' issues disappear by securing permission through their own well established legal channels. They might make it possible for you to post any content you want.

dang, brad you control both of the top english alizée fan forums, that's too much power for one man.

anyhow is RCA scared of US or what? they don't even distribute pyschedelicies to pre-sell on amazon.com while they do on uk and other countries. if RCA is weary of spending money to promote in US, doing small things via sites like this is much more economical.
