Well for me I knew about Corsica way before I knew about Alizee. My love for Corsica isn't because of Alizee.

Alizée is one thing, Corsica another. I'm connected somehow to both, because I recognized both from photographs, as if I'd known them for years. The connection with Alizée I understand at least in part -- that's what restored my ability to write. But the connection with the island remains a mystery at this point. Will I move there and live? Is there something specific I'm supposed to do there? I don't really know, and the island isn't telling me. It's just saying, "Come." So when I can, I will.

LOL AC love that signature.

^^ Nice Ajaccio Corsica. Those images reminds me of Crete. (Well, they are both Mediterranean islands. LOL.)

Being Greek I'm not easily impressed by mediterranean islands since I have visited a dozen or so in my homeland, one more beautiful than the other (yes, Crete is one of them) but I admit, Corsica seems to hold a special place in beauty too, combining the mediteranean with a mix of french/italian flavour. Definetely one of the places I'd love to visit in the near future.

Thanks very much for the photos AC.

As I said, for me it isn't the beauty of the island. I can see very similar things here in northern California, which has a similar climate, similarly beautiful beaches and mountains, and also redwoods, which Corsica doesn't. (But then, California doesn't have maquis.)

I really don't know why I'm supposed to go, but I am. I trust that intuition completely, and pieces of the puzzle are starting to fall into place: the no-nonsense culture, the strong magical traditions (what AC and Alizée have both called "superstition"), the talismanic character of the island itself. There's more, I'm sure, that I haven't seen or understood yet.
