It's something that's put up in a store to advertise a product, but is not itself a product - usually smallish foamcore or cardboard display signs. The big poster-like item that Jessica got in the 2nd Stars à Domicile is a very large PLV, most are much smaller. Other examples of large PLV's would be the massive display boards that were at Virgin advertising the Alizée signing event, or something like a standee.

If you remember the big circular item I had at Alizée's birthday party that advertised MCE, that was a PLV as well.

Merci Master Cooney. I'll have to go back and reference that list you gave.

By the way, I just couldn't help it. I have fallen into the black hole of collecting any and all Alizée merchandise. May the god of money have mercy upon my soul. By the way, being an American really can cost you. So far, a quarter of the money I've spent (over a thousand) has gone to shipping.
If and when all my items come in, I'll have to post. I'm waiting on like 13 things right now. It also takes a long time to get anything (except the pre-ordered albums). And to fill in a little:

Pyschédélices - Album:
-Regular version CD
-LE version CD+DVD+Poster
-Vinyl record
-Taiwan edition regular version CD
-Carnet de Bord Cover+Plan Media
-Poster: "Sortie le 3 Decembre" 40 X 50 CM?
-"FNAC.com" PLV
-"Purple top and bottom" PLV
-Press Dossier
-Mexican promo poster 60x165 cm

Mademoiselle Juliette:
-Promo CD singles, 5 different colors, with accompanying mini-banners (wrong date)
-Vinyl remix record with 8 songs
-Remix 1 CD with 4 songs
-Remix 2 CD with 4 songs
-Green-back Mexican multi-artist promo
-Red-back Mexican multi-artist remixes
-Tout Alizée - Mexican reissue of some of the old material

That anthology was the one we saw at the Virgin bookstore, right? I forgot about that. Thanks for reminding me. I guess I need to get it now (or once I'm no longer sure what I'm missing. might be a while)

Yeah! That's a cool poster. Forgot about that one.

There's a 120 x 160 banner as well.

Does that count as an MJ item? I thought it was just old stuff, not the new.

Yup! That's the one.

The collecting bug is both a blessing and a curse, eh? Darn the shipping costs, full speed ahead!

Really? I didn't know about that one. Looks like I may have to wait a few years for some of this stuff. Hope not.

haha! No. duh! Of course, you're right. I was just thinking of it because it was newly released, though there is no new material.

See, if we were in Paris, we could stake out the back alley of that Virgin store and see if they toss those big giant posters. I wonder what they do with them. Considering the ungodly amount people have gotten for other stuff, they should see if some fan club in the area would collectively pitch in to pay a large sum for those. Although, the ones at the entrance, I wonder if they can even remove those without damaging them. Yes, that's where a large fan club in one area would pay off. People could get and share items they wouldn't be able to get themselves. I don't know, like I said, we need one of those bomb shelters for a club house or something.

Beware. Those Mexican banners are pretty cool, but even if it says it is in mint condition, that's before they send it to you. I've talked to two people selling them and they both claimed that the post office or what ever it is will not allow them to send something in a tube. Therefore, they will fold up the banner and quite ruin it. They won't bother to tell you that in the eBay posting. Don't believe that folding won't ruin the poster. It won't ever be the same after that is done to it, even the PVC (not paper) banners. You can attempt to request that they send with a different carrier. There certainly are carriers that will do a proper job of sending a poster/banner. Even after pleading with one person, the response was just, oh no, they won't let me, like it's not possible to ship things properly out of Mexico. The person may not realize that there are companies like DHL or FedEx which can and will send something in a tube (according to another person I talked to).

Ok, I guess it's about time I put up a photo of that Mexican poster. Well, here's the big one. Ok, you can't really tell quite how big it is still, maybe I should have stood in the photo, but I was taking the photo; so....

Cool

That's okay Roman. The bookshelf gives us an idea of how big it is. Great addition to your collection I might add.

Default collection as of 2008-06-02

Ok, not that anyone cares and not that I've kept up very well lately, but here's my whole collection except that I forgot to put out my 2002 and 2008 Les Enfoirés, my three shirts, 2 mouse pads, and large photos from the Virgin Megastore, and a few newspapers from March in Mexico.
