LOL. But seriously, you're absolutely right. I think Boutonnat was more important for Alizée's success than Farmer. She should try to team up with him again and write her own lyrics.

I guess she was getting private tutoring after this but I'm sure this is no wheres near the quality the of education you get in a regular school. The things you mention are a pretty good education in themselves. And you don't learn that much in school anyway. I went to college and I learned more through the Internet and in daily life then I ever learned on campus. If you're an interested, curious person with basic critical thinking skills and access to a computer you can do it on your own.

I've seen way too many entertainers branch too far off their talent bounds and pretty much make fools of themselves.

I agree 100%. Alizée is very wise for not jumping on some bandwagon or lending herself to some political cause. She should stay above the fray.

I think musically, Boutonnat was more important to Alizée’s career than Farmer. Farmer may have been more valuable in teaching Alizée the tricks of the trade as far as live performance and dealing with interviews goes. We shouldn’t forget that aspect of her career because that is important as well.

I wonder what would happen if you teamed up Boutonnat and Fauque? They might be able to do some great work together. I still give Jérémy Chatelain credit, though. I think he, Oxmo and Fauque did good work on Psychédélices. Darc and Lo were the weakest ones IMHO, but I say that only because it reflects my personal taste in music. Others may feel differently.

We need to see her performing more of her own material in order to tell whether she's working on the image problem, and whether she's comfortable with her own work.
