We have got a confirmation that the Hebrew text really is "Jeremiah". In the Alizée Forum dana0_7's friend from Israel interpreted the text from the photo. She said: "It's Jeremiah, the prophet". She did not even know that Alizée's husband's name is Jeremy.

Kermit the Frog sings "Lilly - eh - The Tattooed Lady"?
I am truly pleased our favorite singer has a wonderful life (and business) partner (in one) and it is genuinely touching she would mark it with a modest but obvious new tattoo. Happily, my previous, silly, good-natured joke on this subject had some amusing artistic fallout.
It seems that Kermit the Frog read about the post I made here concerning Jeremiah the (Jewish) bullfrog as possible inspiration for the latest tattoo. You probably know that Kermit isn't Jewish (his treif girlfriend, Miss Piggy, is a dead giveaway.) But he got rather envious all the same and was unwilling to simply accept my bull. In response, he engineered the awesome performance below! Besides, both Kermit and Miss Piggy have a soft spot for Jérémy. After all, his late mom, ZL, wouldn't have put either of them on the menu at home! I was awestruck how quickly Kermit could work - so much for the narrow-mindedness of a phrase like goyishe kop. This short song has so many germane references, it makes my head spin! These include Ajaccio's most famous son, the French capital and drapeau tricolore, maritime themes, including one featuring an irresistible wind, the hula-dance-moves and even an ending featuring a flourish to Amiral Châtelain himself! (As for the red-haired wig, I think that is most likely a subtle poke at Mylène Farmer, cf. "a pig in a poke.")

De pirouettes en marionnettes

I am sorry that The Muppet Show is no longer in production. Wouldn't Alizée have made the most wonderful guest star on it? Think of her love of children, animals, animation, song and dance. (Naturally, she would have had to explain to Fozzie Bear that her teddy was already dead when she buried him in Parlez Tout Bas.) Alas, the show completed its original run even before Alizée was born. The last episode guest-starred Roger Moore, the 007 of the day. So why not a James Bond Girl, too? The current rights to the Muppet characters are owned by la fée Clochette's employer. It licensed them for The Muppets' Wizard of Oz, a 2005 musical telefilm starring Ella Fitzgerald-influenced singer Ashanti. Now, we all know Alizée can do a great performance of Ella, Elle L'a, and at The difference between Alizée and Mylène I make plausible the notion that Moi... Lolita is highly derivative of The Wizard of Oz. The telefilm followed a young woman named Dorothy Gale (with a talking pet prawn Toto) who dreams of becoming a singer, but is unable to pursue her dreams until a cross-country program like Graines de Star comes along. She has adventures in Oz, including one involving an Evil Eye belonging to a wicked witch whom she finally melts with a bathtub dunking. Overall, the film ended up receiving negative reviews from critics and over forty other shows beat in the ratings the week it ran on US television. What if it had been done differently? Alizée sings like an angel and would have been great with aquatic life. Our Goddess partially transubstantiates to Flipper in J'en Ai Marre! performances and is an avid goldfish conversationalist and bathtub maven to boot! And who better than a Corsican girl to battle with the Evil Eye? I guess we can always at least dream about the parallel universe in which Alizée rather than Ashanti starred in this work. Anyone up for a remake? P.S. In case you didn't know, Kermit had some help from the late Edgar "Yip" Harburg, the same lyricist who wrote all of the songs in The Wizard of Oz. P.P.S. Thus saith Ish Kabbalah: If you search the Web (in English, not French) using Google and a string which is an anagram of Alizée Jacotey, namely
Y a éclatez joie!
or in English There was a burst of joy!, the second hit (of over 50,000) you get is the text of Jeremiah 31:7. Only skin deep?
First, appreciate that Alizée is extremely fond of the sea, and it is a tradition for sailors to get tattoos! Would you ask Popeye to give up his? Well, blow me down!
But if you remain unreconciled, try to think like dancer-turned-comedian Rita Rudner, author of Naked Beneath My Clothes: underneath her skin, Alizée is free of all tattoos!
All men are brothers under the skin, Of this there is no doubt; Well, then go back under the skin my friend, And send your brother out! - A grook performed by the late Nipsey Russell during a WNEW-TV game show shot while I sat in the studio audience as a lad. That's right, Alizée, he played the tinman in the film version of The Wiz, along with the late Michael Jackson as the scarecrow. Good night, Officer Anderson.
Last edited by FanDeAliFee; 03-07-2010 at 02:22 AM.. Reason: add the skunk quote |

How curious one should mention the design of this famous painting! Check out the left-hand panel in the pink breakout box near the very bottom of Jacotey/Jacotet genealogy.
