Cool All Time Movie List

Well, i'm sure you're all interested in what my top 5 favorite movies are of all time

So here it is:

Scarface

a little over the top but the combination of Oliver Stone (screenwriter) Brian De Palm (director) and of course Pacino is truly amazing. Great sound track, amazing acting, and an in depth, dark insight into the multi-billion dollar cocaine industry. I can watch this one over and over...

Traffic

Steven Soderbergh, Benicio Del Toro, Michael Douglas: enough said

Saving Private Ryan

Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, Robert Rodat (writer). What a historical period!!! One of, if not, the greatest generation ever. Can you imagine traveling to Northern Africa, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy...to fight a war?

Last of The Mohicans

Daniel Day Lewis, Michael Mann (director), Madeleine Stowe. Another really interesting historical period, great cinematography and musical score. But unfortunately the American colonies/British were at war with France/Native Americans

But the French actually won well sort of...

Casablanca

Of course one of the great classics, great love story with an honorable ending, set in World War Two...

close calls: Braveheart, Clear and Present Danger, Bourne Ultimatum, Transformers (come on people what an amazingly fun movie to watch), Shawshank Redemption, Hunt for the Red October, The Departed, Goodfellas, The Matrix and Reloaded, Back to the Future (all three)....

how about you???

I'll count all these as one.

Other favorites: 300, Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, the original Star Wars films, There Will Be Blood, Juno, Sin City, and more I'm sure I'm forgetting.

ROFL at Army of Darkness!

I love all of Quentin Tarantinos movies

KillBill Volume One and Two
Reservoir Dogs
Pulp Fiction

Just the way he portrays all of his scenes and how he can make all his flashbacks (and flashforwards) flow is something to appriciate.

Few more great ones...

A very small, totally incomplete (and completey random) selection of my favorite movies:

Trainspotting (the best drug movie ever)

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (second best drug movie ever), Benicio Del Toro got really fat for this one

Matrix - still the best cyberpunk movie (parts 2 and 3 were completely unnecessary though)

Blade Runner

The Usual Suspects (one of the greatest endings in movie history)

The Talented Mr. Ripley

and almost everything from Woody Allen
