Pose magazine article 2007
Here is a magazine article from 2007. The pictures I'm uploading here are jpegs of the original article which was in a pdf format. The text I believe is unreadable, but it is very clear in the original format, so here is a link where you can download it.

That is an interesting article. When she said "each song has a story" that interested me and I would like to know more about the stories behind her songs. I was also interested in her comments about her tattoos. I wonder if she still has "small holes to fill" or if that phase is over now and she is finished getting tattoos? I know she said she makes tattoos for "a story" but I have to admit I hope that, going forward, she will tell her stories more through her songs than with tattoos. But that is just my personal opinion.

Coincidentally, I have been going over the translations to this songs in the album during the last few weeks. One thing that this album has that is not in another of her albums are two songs that are Sprechgesang, which is German for "spoken singing". The songs are Mon Chevalier and Jeune Fille. She is communicating with her listeners something that is very hard for her. There is no attempt to rhyme the lyrics.
This is a sad album during a sad part of her life. But because there are no double-meanings and her lyrics are really quite clear, even when undergoing translation, it is a special album to me. Edit: I personally think she is done with the tattoos. She has done enough damage in my opinion since I dislike them very much, but have learned to just let it go. I think she was "self-medicating" herself with them during that painful time in her life. They might have made her feel better for a while. There's not much she can add to give the tattoos any continuity or artistic form. It's just a mess. Last edited by CleverCowboy; 01-03-2019 at 01:59 PM.. Reason: Automerged Doubleposts |

As for tattoos specifically, I think the whole process of obtaining them gives people something to focus on and, perhaps, like you said, feel better as they are pouring their thoughts and time into that effort while avoiding having to think so much about what in life is making them sad. |

I believe I posted the wrong link for the pdf file for the Pose magazine article. I reposted the link in the opening post and here it is here too.
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Lf...S6KCKKs8WOg0pF I can't say for sure it's right until I get home and check it on my desktop. Right now I'm using a Dell 11-3000 which is a total piece of crap. |

One thing I failed to mention about the English version is that RMJ of Alizee Art took the original French magazine article and translated it to English. He did a great job with it as he did with the Actualizee magazines. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1T-v...ew?usp=sharing Now I have to see what I posted on FB!!!! |
