Notice there are no street views for Ajaccio.

I was bored at work so I thought I'd check out Ajaccio and found there isn't any street views in the city.

There are lots of post card tourist photos links to notable locations around the town.

All I can say to Google is, it's BORING.

because street-views are recorded by suspicious white vans with cameras mounted on top. Perhaps google doesn't feel it's necessary to somehow get one of those camera vans to the island for some images that not too many people are going to seek out.

Alizée's father Jo Jacotey took a number of the photos featured on Google Earth around the Ajaccio area. Also check around Les Iles Sanguinaires.

Well actually, I live in a town of 2,400 people, and for some reason there is a street view down the main street. I think they just haven't gotten there yet.

Yes, they seem to be making their way around the world bit by bit. Most of the US has been mapped along with places like Australia and most of Europe. I know they are also in the process of mapping Canada. I know because I saw the Google car pass by me on my way home from work a few months ago!

I guess it's because Corsican independantists and mafiosi would quickly blow these white vans off, thinking they're French police agents.
