I think it looks great for a first. In fact, I'd say it takes more skill to do that than my signature. So, in short, great! Keep on improving it as your Photoshop skills improve, and you'll rival RMJ!
 Well, you probably won't, but that was hyperbole.

I like it for your first attempt. Keep practising so as to hone your skills. Look at others signature and learn from them. Also look up plenty of tutorials so as to learn new things.

good try deadxohead, your signature is good..... you have to take lot of practise and refer some of the tutorials and work out of it.... as killian sais above... view some of the signature made by fans and you will get some idea how to create a signatures and you can make your own siggy.. best of luck for the next try.... keep up the work, you can do it!
