Unfortunately , considering the current french standards she's too short, too old and not slim enough to be hired by any famous modelling agency . Designers basically want a mannequin for their clothes. The smaller you are = less fabric for samples. You really only need that body type for runway, though. A lot of bigger or shorter girls do beauty shoots for makeup and such. A lot of celebrities do modeling though, but I'm not sure about in France.

yeah, in theory... Even if the BMI is checked once or twice a week, it's quite permissive for the models..

It seems a little confusing about her dad's name. I saw she was described as and I guess it probably applies to her parents and brother that they were non practicing Catholics. Then Jeremy came along who I believe is Jewish. So why would she get her father's name tatooed in Hebrew? Maybe she wanted to get it, but did not want people to know what it was ?

There was that discussion back in the day about that tattoo over at AF and I think you've mentioned it numerous times here. :D Well there was a french website back in the day that mentioned Alizée had other tattoos back in 2003.. but yeah that shot from the Enfoirés is the only time we have seen it or atleast part of it. ;)

I had an employee about twenty years ago that was from Germany. She had met her husband when he was stationed at the Military base near her home.

One day probably with in two weeks after starting work for me she pulled a drawer completely out of her work station and it hit the floor. So when her husband came to pick her up after work I was joking with him about how he needed to talk to his wife Helga about dropping her drawers in front of the customers. Her English considering she had only been in America for a few months was very good. She just hadn't had a chance to get familiar with American slang so when he explained the the joke to her, she turned beet red and laughed.

Drawers is an old American slang term for pants or trousers.

wow. I just gawta say when I saw that performance and the other performance of her Bollywood dancing to jai ho I was left BEYOND speechless. when the song kicked up she had this look on her face like she was saying "im taking this!"

I admit I never saw much of her dancing on their dancing of the stars with her partner but that was the one and only song and dance I needed to see. I saw the soul of a dancer, a person who when a musical opportunity arises she gets a deep smile on and has the greatest fun and need to dance.

as a alizee American despite I have not been on and chatted with my friends for a few years I was sooo proud of her like we all are as fans. also when I saw that her entire history of who she wanted to be flashed through my mind. she was a singing phenomenon who danced here and there but made it look professional and throughout the years even when she returned to the limelight she went through hardships like we all do and I think the dancer in her was yearning to be let free and show the world what this girl who possessed the dancers soul could do and she definently showed the world all right. the other competitors who probably deep down say that shes just a amateur were proven that this is one who can dance with so much ease and rhythm.

but alizee if your reading this or an interpreter we are proud of you and please show more of your great talents. and dancing to jai ho? masterpiece! seriously.

Very few are that lucky. I miss the "Pic i never saw b4" thread. But it's important to keep the forum updated with the things that get posted, especially by Alizée. And Ray4AJ is doing that admirably on the Calendar page :):thumb:

I didn't recognize the picture at first either. For one thing, it's of much better quality than the videos I have and stands out much more. The other thing that threw me off is the statue of Buddha I guess it is in the back ground. I certainly didn't remember that and that is mostly because when she is at her best on stage, there could be a herd of stampeding elephants around the stage and you'd never notice them.

Even though I don't think that shirt is wool, I think the image is in keeping with the mi-coton, mi-laine image of Moi Lolita, but I also found this interesting interpretation of that phrase though I have a tendency to not believe it.

Interesting interpretation! It might also mean her being hot-tempered, full of emotions - hot or cold, never in between. And her temper is one of her assets, many Gourmandises songs are tinted with the young girl's instability - L'Alizé, Veni Vedi Vici, Abracadabra. The latter is all about her moods and how charming they are :) .

She does look good as a blond, but she has gotten far apart from what set her so far apart from so many other singers in the world. I think back to that interview where they show her on the beach and later they show her in a house, apparently with a recently bought outfit and she's showing off her new outfit and saying she likes to flirt. I would have liked to heard then what her views on tattoos were? Did boys like to flirt with girls with tattoos back then? If she said yes, it would maybe help to understand her devotion to them now.
