Agreed, I was like "wut" when I first saw her in her new style, "that can't be right" I told myself, but it just takes some getting used to and now she's as pretty as ever! Plus I think her current hairstyle makes her look a little more "older and mature" than her MCE hair, as much as I love that cut.

Why not adopt a new habit from today onwards, whenever a new picture is posted, use external link and attach it also. Even if the link dies after some time and members just wonder which picture was it, then they can check it in attachments which will always be here.

Well, since last year's Les Enfoires.. she really hasn't changed too much overall. She changes every once a while, but stays in the same general range.

You know what, that's a very good point! That pretty much shuts down any thinking that its from earlier years. And Alizee posted it as acting if it was new...

LOL yes, that's it. Bear in mind also that she lives in Paris, which is 6-9 hours earlier than anywhere in the U.S. (except Alaska and Hawaii which are further behind still).

The words 'earlier' and 'later' are a bit confusing when talking about times zones. A clock in Paris reads a later time, but they reach that time earlier than us… confusia. 'Ahead' and 'behind' work better for clarity.

I would assume that only works if the uploader actually had enough details to provide for that, such as some cameras save all of that info in the picture. Unless I'm mistaken Facebook removes everything of that and even if it didn't I'm sure as Deepwaters mentioned she holds her private life just that... private so we wouldn't get to know anyway. Even so, why does it matter? It might have been taken on the 12th of November, but she waited with posting it to the public until the 14th February to show that she still appreciates her fans.

"Does Alizee go to work everyday? And if so, what does she do?" I don't know who I'm asking it to though...I guess you guys hehe.

That's different. To a degree, we have a right to know that kind of thing. Or anyway, it's in her interests to keep us posted, and it would not violate her privacy.

Speaking from personal experience, though, an artist doesn't necessarily keep a schedule like 9-5 sorts. Some do. I try to spend at least four hours a day working on my writing between writing new material and polishing what I've done before. I actually spend more than that, counting just thinking or letting things ruminate. But Alizée's art is different from mine because she doesn't compose, she only performs and organizes. So she would have to connect with people, find those who will write music for her and perform with her (unless she wants to continue working with Institubes), and put together a matrix of people who will produce the finished product. Then she has to arrange studio time and get people into the studio to record tracks, as well as recording her own voice tracks of course. And there's all the stuff involved with getting it published and promoting it. A lot of that is detail that would make your eyes glaze over I imagine.

It would be good to hear from her regarding plans for the future in general, though. I feel confident that she hasn't given up on singing or she would probably say so. But what's in the works? Is the rumor true about a return to the roots (but not with Mylène)? Will she be doing something like this year's Christmas song, with a solid beat, danceable, and fun? Inquiring minds want to know. :)

I do have another suggestion for her if she happens to read this. If she wants to sing any more songs in languages other than French, the lyrics should be written by a poet who is a native speaker of that language. All of the songs written for her in English to date, including Mylène's efforts as well as Limelight, have been a bit off -- not quite right. It's not enough to be fluent in a language for purposes of poetry.

I've been on several of their trains and can attest to the fact that it is indeed a train. They usually have two classes of seats. These definitely look to be first class which you'd expect. I usually have to sit in steerage.

Here is a picture I took inside a train when I was on my way up to Pistoia in Italy, where Alizee performed at Festivalbar in 2002 and 2003. It's hard to tell by this photo, but it has a similar style of table.

After I got back from this vacation, I jokingly posted this picture in at work with the caption "Here is a picture of the beuatiful Italian countryside", of course the only thing beautiful in the picture was the young lady on the note book computer.

I removed the picture because it comes from her private profile. I'm not sure what type to assign for such pictures, whether to say them public or private, but one thing I'm sure of that she doesn't allow anyone else other than her friends on her private profile to access that picture. That's just her wish. If you're on friend with her on the private profile, then it's ok. You can always access the image through that. If you're not a friend on the profile and don't think that it's a private picture, then also it's ok as it's your personal opinion.

I was just poking fun at Iwillmeether because I found that same picture in her brother's Facebook, not Alizee's. When one intends for another to be able to look at their profile they will add them or accept their friend request if they sent one. That is the reason there is a private setting on facebook.

Guess personally I don't see a reason to look at anothers profile if they don't want to be my friend. Just as I don't see a reason someone would look at mine if I don't want them as a friend. It's simple respect I suppose. I've seen it quite often, even from people here, that she is a rather private person about such things and I'd think that is one thing you can respect correct?

If she didn't intend for people to see it then she would have made her profile not pop up in search results or be totally blocked from anyone but her friends seeing it which is indeed possible. But we are able to see her profile even though we aren't her friend which she must be fine with since she didn't block it from anyone seeing it or searching for it.

I think the main point here is "many people here don't know here private page" so therefore would never be able to see the pic Aaron posted. Yes if you know her private page (which your not supposed to) you can see it.... but that doesn't mean you should make it available for others to see! To go over my same point again, she makes no effort to give out/promote her private page so therefore you shouldn't give out/promote her private page by referencing it in any way.... including posting pictures from it. The profile even says private, so you are completely ignoring it and disrespecting Alizee in that sense. You can come up with any sort of rhetoric you want on why you can do it (yes technically your allowed to do it) but morally it is not something proper to do; it is low classy in my opinion. If Alizee wanted you to see that picture she would post it on her public facebook page or any other website domain! Furthermore Alizee is a public figure but her family members (like her brother) are not; respect their privacy as well! Now upon saying this, we all know Aaron is a excellent member and shows A LOT of respect for Alizee and didn't mean any harm by doing this but just know Aaron that you shouldn't be posting pictures from that domain.

Note that now you can download facebook images in higher resolution. Earlier you could have uploaded a bigger image and still see all pictures in same size. But now facebook provides download options for all images by which you can get images in larger size.

Note that now you can download facebook images in higher resolution. Earlier you could have uploaded a bigger image and still see all pictures in same size. But now facebook provides download options for all images by which you can get images in larger size.

Anyways those images are just captures from the DVD of Les Enfoires.

If only. I use Chrome because I find FF to obstruct too much of things I actually want to see with just empty space that fills no significant purpose.. ohwell not that hard to just press download as it automatically saves without needing to choose location.

So sorry about this, not had a problem with this sort of thing when loading imageshack photos myself so thanks for letting me know. Will use something else in future. It is a lovely picture. ;)


Off topic for a moment - The image hosting site cycles throught advertizers, so it is mearly the luck of the draw as to whether an issue like this pops up. However, the fact that they still have that advertizer on board speaks poorly about them. Some people would fall for the message, hit the button, and then they would be barraged with messages to download their softtware. This advertizer is one of a few firms that are technically (but not ethically) barely inside the law. Some keep it that way by thretening to sue anyone (by this I mean journalists) that tries to tell the public how they really operate. - back on topic

Someone hacked her Facebook or Alizee friended them by accident, is the most likely explanation. Find out where Karin got the pic, and follow the breadcrumbs... there you will find the culprit.

For myself, I recently enjoyed finally seeing the video below, made about a decade ago. Not only does Alizée look super-cute - she struck me as looking like Pinnochio's come-to-life sister at that age - but I finally also satisfied my curiosity about what Johann looked like when he got older. (I had seen him in the AOM publicity photos from 1995.)
