A Lilly Town landmark.... nice. What other landmarks from her videos and performances would be in Lilly Town?

She sang in front of the Eiffel Tower, so that would be one.

Well there is her appearence in front of the Hotel de ville which is their version of our City hall.
The date was July 3,2003. The occassion happened to be the 100th running of the Tour de France. There was a protest going on at the event where some people from some part of the entertainment industry were protesting. At some point you can hear some boos from the crowd, at other points you can see some protestors holding up flyers.

This place is just a short walk from Notre Dame. I stopped here a couple of times on different vacations.

The site won't let me post pics of what they did but you must see that link. It has a picture of the spiral stairs that Lilly touched

A thought just came to mind just as I'm about to leave for work. I would think a coal washing plant would have a rail road line serving it to either bring coal in or out. I took a very quick look at google earth and didn't see any evidence of one. I'll have to take a closer look later on or maybe I'll look at some old pictures.Of course it's possible it didn't.

Well I was looking at this coal washing plant on Google earth for any evidence that there might have been a rail line serving it. I couldn't see a thing. So I decided to do some more looking on the web and stumbled upon this video. It clearly shows there were several tracks running to this plant.

I took a couple of stills from the video. It be nice if we could get some one to do a translation.

I found some interesting things. There is a railroad in the city of Binche, just south of this building. Notice that nowdays, this railroad only starts and ends here. If you look carefully, you can see that this wasn't always the case. There is numerous of removed tracks and unused tracks in this area.

Abandoned railroad bridge close to Thuin, Belgium.

There's also a large train station almost due north, just a little bit to the east about 2 1/2 miles from the former coal washing building.
